Robert D. Scott, CFP^®

Robert D. Scott, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years. Beginning in Houston as a financial advisor in 1993 he earned his Series 63, 65 and Series 7 FINRA registrations. Along with these registrations he also has the Series 24 and 26 which allows him to supervise others in his industry; he currently is an OSJ for SagePoint Financial. In 2006 he received the designation of CFP^®. He is also licensed for Life and Health Insurance, including Long Term Care.

With this knowledge coupled with years of experience, Robert brings a passion to help all he comes in contact with financially. Financial wellness affects us all daily and requires experience along with continuous education. It is important to Robert to remain abreast of global developments and how they affect his client’s interests.

Robert has been married for 40 years to his wife Catherine and together they have three children – Jessica, Evan and Rachel. After graduating from University of Houston in 2013, his daughter Jessica has joined Pre-Emptive Financial. Evan, a paramedic, also works in the Emergency Room as a Registered Nurse. His youngest daughter Rachel is also an RN specializing in Pediatric ICU care.

Out of the office, Robert enjoys photography, capturing the moments and landscape of his family’s travels. In his younger years, Robert worked as a mechanic and still utilizes those skills with car restoration. When you visit our office you will notice a plethora of sail boats, his dream is that one day he will be able to build and sail one.
